One of the biggest problems in the medical and dental professions now is the over use or abuse of antibiotics. The potential problems caused by over prescribing antibiotics is so significant that the American Heart Association has revised their guidelines to physicians and dentists; yet many healthcare professionals still ignore these new guidelines. People need to know that every time they take an antibiotic they become more sensitize to it (more allergic) and a time may come that may make them unable to take it in a life threatening situation. So if you do not have any signs of infection, then do not take that last pill. To have a patient take antibiotics in the absence of infection is improper use of the drug.

Yes, it is. Your prescription was given for you to take the whole course of medication. Take the last pill and hope you do not get an infection on the sites later.

Yes, because some bacteria could survive and become antibiotic resistant. And that would be bad for the rest of mankind
take it... infection could be the alternative.
