Approx. recovery time for oral surgery?!

Question: Approx. recovery time for oral surgery?
This coming Tuesday I will be having three impacted wisdom teeth extracted (two on bottom, one on top), a frenectomy (on my top lip/gum) and two teeth that are in my sinus cavity. Like, not just the root, but they have grown in there and I can't seem to find any information of what to expect about that procedure except I know my oral surgeon will be able to get them from going under my top gums. My question is, considering no complications and there's just general trama done to the surrounding areas that's to be expected with surgery, how long will I be laid out on the couch? I know there's a range of days depending on the person, but just a guess is fine. Thank you.

You may not be laid up on the couch for too long, but you will of course have to eat soft foods for a while. I had to have all my wisdom teeth extracted in the hospital because the were under my jaw bone (general anaesthesia.) This was years ago, but they gave me an ice pack that literally tied around my head to keep the swelling down, and pain meds. I don't remember feeling bad and being laid up for an unreasonable amount of time, but what I hadn't expected was looking like a chipmunk for a couple of months, my poor face was very swollen. That was the worst part of it for me, never had any complications or infections. Like you said, surgery affects everyone differently, but you will be swollen and sore for quite a while. I have also had other facial surgeries and those too left me bruised and swollen. You'll be fine, just know that you won't look like yourself for a little while. I really wish someone had warned me about the swelling before my surgeries. Just know that it will pass. Good luck and take care.
