Important dental/orthodontic question! Does anyone have an answer?!

Question: Important dental/orthodontic question! Does anyone have an answer?
This week I'm getting my bottom braces off. I'm really excited to finally have straight teeth, but now I'm worried. I got my retainer for my top teeth and it's removable, and now I'm wondering if my bottom retainer will be removable. Some of my friends said that when they we're younger they had their retainers cemented in their mouth. They didn't have braces then so I'm wondering if that made a difference. We're 13 and 14 now and 8th grade pictures are coming up and I want to look nice. So my question is: In what cases do they usually cement retainers in?

I've never heard of retainers being cemented in the mouth. They're usually removable and you wouldn't have to wear it all the time...
