Do braces hurt when you get them?!

I'm not going to lie, it does hurt when you first get them. Before you even get the braces on you, the dentist will most likely put spacers in between your molars so he/she can fit the braces into your mouth. I thought those hurt more than the braces themselves. You do get used to the pain pretty quickly though. It gets sore when you get them tightened. Also, I think that the more crooked your teeth are, the worse it will hurt, because they have to move further.

As for colors, I liked to choose really bright colors like bright pink or purple. I didn't really like to choose green or brown because I didn't want people to think it was food or something. Haha! :)

I hope I didn't scare you about getting braces. It really isn't that bad of a pain. Just a small ache. And like I said, the spacers hurt worse than getting the braces themselves, at least in my opinion.

Yes they are fairly painful when you first get them and they are tightened. You'll feel like you want to claw your teeth out. And you basically have to learn to eat again, because chewing becomes an art trying to figure out how to bite down and how to clean your braces with your tongue. The wires will also scrape at your cheek and tongue.
You will eventually get used to them though, it just takes some time. After a couple of months, I generally did not notice them. Except you can't eat some food (candy, sticky food, etc.), but I wouldn't worry. It all pays off. I have perfect teeth and it feels amazing.

Also go with darker colors that will not stand out as much. Like dark red, blue, etc.

no it does not hurt when you get them on all it is is glue on your teeth then they put on the brackets and some wires but after that from about 4-5 days they will hurt

with colors all i have to say is be creative and change the colors up for any occasion and just stay away from yellow and white cause yellow makes your teeth look unclean and white can get stained

Yes, they hurt to me, after i get them tightened and when i got them on, and when they put chains on them. everything they do to my braces they always hurt the next day,

No, they only start to ache when they tighten them and that isn't even that bad. Colors depend on each person. I always got my favorite colors.

To tell the truth yes... But just for a couple days after each tightening. you pretty much get use to them after that so don't worry

Sorry to say but unfortunatly when you first get them they will hurt for a couple days. but it will stop after a while .

YES. The first week was unbearable for me. Same goes for when you go back to have it tightened.
