There is no tooth 38 and 48 since there are only 32 teeth in the permanent dentition. It sounds like your wisdom teeth may be impacted in a mesioangular direction. Those #'s are 1 and 16 (top jaw) and 17 and 32 (bottom jaw). Mesioangular means angled towards the teeth that are in FRONT of it. Appearance being otherwise unremarkable means theres nothing else to note. I assume your dentist was checking your x-rays, that you probably need your wisdom teeth removed and you are in your late teens. :)
