Anyone know a good Dentist where i can ask about implants or a new plate?!

Some good answerers above and I would have said something very similar.

Set yourself a three week period and ask every person you meet where they go and who they see and why. Eventually amongst those people a name will emerge and that is the person you should head for. Good dentists do not need to advertise and work on word of mouth alone.

Implants are not an NHS item and although plates are made on the NHS they are not as good as plates made on a private basis as the fee paid to the dentist does not cover the time and expense involved in making them so some compromise is made.

But you should still go back and discuss your existing plate with your dentist as they cn be eased to fit better and even relined in some cases. If it is a new plate is not at all acceptable if it does not fit and hurts and is uncomfortable. So go back and complain very loudly.

In my long life I have only met one very good dentist and she lives in Ankara in Turkey. Did a fantastic job on my very bad teeth with caps and new plate, and extractions of wisdom teeth, still no problems years later. I was quoted 15000 to 20000 Canadian dollars in Canada for the work. In Ankara it cost 3000 US dollars. English dentist always ask where did I have such dental work done. Do not have implants fitted. Very expensive and need maintenance every 6 to 9 months.
I am considering going on holiday to Ankara to get my plate fixed as a tooth broke off and the repair in England is not comfortable.
My father never went to the dentist, but my poor mother had very bad teeth.

Really good dentists are very hard to find. Ask friends in your area.
