Will my mouth swell after cavity fillings?!

Question: Will my mouth swell after cavity fillings?
I'm going to the dentist at 4, and I have an event at 6 and I was wondering if my gums/mouth will swell, or if I'll have trouble eating just two hours after?

Everyone's different. More than likely you won't. You will have numbness from the injections but that's about it. There is like you said the no eating and drinking. It doesn't hurt and it's pretty fast.

Probably not but if you have the filling done with a local anesthetic your lips and tongue will be numb for hours and you're not supposed to eat for at least 2 hours anyway.

If it's important you might try having a filling done without anesthetic, small fillings don't really hurt much it's just that people are afraid of the drill so they nearly always opt for the guaranteed pain-free method.

the filling itself will not make your mouth swell and as for the anes. most people do not get any swelling if you do it is verrrry slight almost not noticable and most people are only numb for about 2 hours from the time of injection. most front teeth dont require an injection or a small back cavity.

Your mouth wont swell or anything but it takes a good while for the novocaine to wear off you might not be as numb by two hours though.
