Baking Soda won't bleach your teeth, but it cam remove plaque as it is an abrasive. However, because baking soda is an abrasive, if you use it too frequently, it will damage tooth enamel. Again, most toothpastes will remove stains as effectively as baking soda, and do so without side effects.

That would clean and remove stains but can't help much in whitening your teeth. My experience with it is it really helps and it works, in terms of cleaning. But for whitening, not much... I still have to go to my dentist and make my teeth whiten. Lately been using some whitening which is quite effective and happy with the results.

Baking soda does help whiten teeth! I keep a cup of it in my bathroom, and everytime time I brush my teeth, I sorinkle some on and then ater I rinse, I just brush them wth water and baking soda :) Also, rembrant toothpaste is really super-duper good!! YOu can see a difference after just one brush =)

I had mine done professionally & was not happy with the results so I went to my dentist & they recommended "Crest Whitestrips Supreme Professional Whitening" & they work really good. You can not buy them in a store but I found them in Amazon for a really good price. I did one whole box as directed then to keep them up I do it every other week & my teeth are almost off the charts for whiteness.
