I'm looking to whiten my teeth, suggestions please :)?!

Question: I'm looking to whiten my teeth, suggestions please :)?
I had braces a while and during the process I gradually got a little yellow and I feel they are stained. I don't want a dentist procedure. I am looking for something over the counter...as for toothpastes I've tried Crest, Colgate, and Arm n Hammer "whitening". For me, I was unpleased with the results. Are strips the way to go? I'm looking to spend under fifty. Thank you all

try the new crest 3D advance vivid white products, they have a rinse toothpaste and strips. i only use the rinse and toothpaste and everyday im asked where did you get your teeth whitened. i work in a dental office and the results are close to prof. results but way cheaper and are less likely to give you sensitivity and if you do have sensitive teeth already, the crest 3d also have a sensitive strip

Try arm and hammer toothpastes and crest whitening strips.you may also need a new toothbrush and use mouthwash more often along with flossing.basically every home dental hygeine procedure you can think of!if you would like to whiten your teeth as soon as possible i strongly suggest a white-light system.it worked wonders for me after i got my braces removed.you can usually find such products at wal-mart. (also try http://www.amazon.com/Cosmetic-Whitening-Professional-Strength-Remineralization/dp/B00319JE40 )

hope this helped(:

I've tried over the counter strips and I would not suggest trying them because they can make your teeth painfully sensitive. I would pay the $100 and have a dentist whiten them. Its the safe way to go.

The best is the arm and hammer Brilliant Sparkle! love it!

A white smile is something many people wish they had. The fact of the matter is that obtaining a white, perfect smile can be quite hard. Our teeth can seriously be affected by anything we put in our mouth.

The discoloration of our teeth can even be caused by certain elements of the way we live. Sure there are movie stars who seem to have blindingly white smiles all the time, but they have professional help to keep their teeth so perfect. The good news is that there are steps you can take to minimize the effect that your lifestyle, eating and drinking habits have on your smile. Read on to learn some effective methods you can use to whiten your teeth.

Did you know that lemon juice is a great teeth whitener? Research has shown that when you mix some lemon juice with salt and then brush it on to your teeth, it can reduce stains and discoloration. The thing most people have problems with when it comes to this home treatment is getting over the initial shock of putting lemon juice in their mouth. If you want truly white teeth, make sure you use real lemon juice squeezed straight from lemons, or you can get juice from a bottle if you must. It's never a good idea to use lemonade for this little trick. Lemonade is too sugary and so you will likely wind up with a cavity instead of a brighter smile. So if you are one of those people who can get used to the taste of pure lemon juice, then by all means use this as part of your nightly teeth maintenance routine.

Strawberries have been the topic of some teeth whitening studies. You can just cut them into slices and apply directly to your teeth or you can mash them into a paste. The paste can be then brushed onto teeth. The key to making the strawberries to work for you is to leave the past on a good length of time (at least five minutes) before rinsing it off. You then have to floss well to get all the seeds out from between your teeth. While they are great for whitening your teeth, the acid in the berries can break down your enamel if left on for too long.

Brushing your teeth with teeth whitening toothpaste is one of the simpler ways to get brighter teeth. Many dentists do not recommend these toothpastes because they can be very harsh on your tooth enamel. Of course, at the same time, they do more to cut back on discoloration thanregular toothpaste. Use these types of toothpastes if you are worried about your teeth being discolored. In fact, most toothpaste contains at least some form of whitening agent that helps to brighten your smile. You can try many things to get whiter, brighter teeth. The tips you just learned about only represent a small percentage of the tips on teeth whitening that are out there. The more you do to whiten your smile and improve your oral hygiene, the better off your oral health will be. Keep in mind that a whiter smile is always healthier than a non-white smile. There are more important things than just the color of your teeth. It's necessary to think about your teeth's enamel and your gums, also.
