What can I do about my discolored teeth (from antibiotics)?!
Question: What can I do about my discolored teeth (from antibiotics)?
What are my options? When my braces come off within the next couple months, I really want to resolve this issue. However before that, I need to have a little surgery on my lower gums, my orthodontist told me my gums are really thin on the bottoms. I also noticed that there seems to be a little excess gum between my upper, side teeth.
What are my options for finally getting white teeth? I know there are veneers, but from what I'm reading they cost $800-$1,200 PER TOOTH (WTF?), and if they are that expensive, there's no way I can get them if they're not covered by dental insurance.

Unfortunately, I have the same issue with my teeth being discolored from antibiotics. Whiteners don't work, no matter what kind since our teeth are not 'stained'. I have checked into several options but get the same news, won't work. Veneers were suggested as an option as you said but are not covered because they are considered cosmetic only. I have also learned that I don't really have room for veneers so it seems I'm stuck. If anyone does have information about this situation I would love to know it too
Hey, my teeth were a bit tainted due to the daily coffee and tea I drink, plus, I had braces for a long time as well. I used this product called Touch of White and I am very happy with the results-do not bother getting "white strips" or any of that crap. Touch of White is a more expensive, but it gets the job done.
