What does it mean to have "soft teeth"?!

Question: What does it mean to have "soft teeth"?
Is it a abnormal condition of some kind? I just heard the term and don't know what it means or what causes it...(?) Is it genetic/hereditary?

Answers:

When I was a little kid my dentist told me I had soft teeth. I just had teeth that decayed very easily, and I suffered a lot of tooth ache, but since I'v gotten older they have gotten much harder and stronger. As a little kid I wasn't getting calcium and vitamin D,and now I drink plenty of milk and take a daily multivitamin with 100 per cent vitamin D and calciun. Now my teeth are rock hard.
I hope this answers your question.

Idk either...that's always confused me. I asked a friend in dental school what that means, and he said that there is no such thing as "soft teeth." I think its a term used to describe teeth susceptible to decay, perhaps brittle, easy to chip, and prone to cavities.
