I have a tooth missing, whats the easiest way to fill the gap?!

Question: I have a tooth missing, whats the easiest way to fill the gap?
I was wondering what is the easiest way to get the dentist to fill a gap in my mouth. I had a tooth extraction a while back and feel quite embarrased about the gap when im laughing.
Other than having a screw in with a fake tooth put into my gum with a screw, is there any other ways to get the dentist to help solve this problem.

Thank you in advance

yes you can get a denture with a single tooth.
I had one during the implant process

Being a dentist, i can give you the perfect answer for your question, but for that we need a little bit elaboration and small detail about the teeth which has been extracted, as well as the condition of the bone surrounding the teeth.
If you are not sure about those things, or what are they, then you can read about teeth and surrounding bone at: http://www.todentalcare.com/periodontal-ligament-and-alveolar-bone.html

Case: 1] We will suppose that you have got 1 teeth present on both side of the gap and both teeth at the edge of the gap are strong, firm, healthy and are able to provide support to missing tooth :
Answer: In this case you can go for a dental bridge which is usually 3 unit of crown, out of which two crowns will reside on the supporting teeth and middle crown will be hanging like a bridge with the help of support from two surrounding teeth.

Case: 2] We will suppose that you don't have teeth on any 1 side of the gap:
Answer: In this case, the type of teeth plays important role, there are few options available in this case are: (1) Cantiliver Crown (2) Implant (3) Removable partial denture.
you don't have support from 1 side, thats why you cannot place fixed bridge in this case.

For any other type of case you can write your queries at: http://www.todentalcare.com/forum
which is a platform to answer all your questions, discussion and for additional knowledge, where we will try to answer other type of cases possible.

Hope it helps.

It sounds like you already had an implant done and that is the best thing. If it doesn’t look good you should go to another dentist and have them fix it. The only alternative is a bridge or dentures. I just had a bridge done and it is awful and excruciating.

Ask the dentist, now your gums have settled he will give you the best advice.

Implants are the only way.
