is it possible to get cavities on your canine teeth?!
Question: Is it possible to get cavities on your canine teeth?
also known as "vampire teeth"
Answers:
usually its unusual to have cavities on canine teeth. because these teeth are known as SELF CLEANSING teeth, but there exist a particular type of caries as well, known as "SMOOTH SURFACE CARIES" that means, a particular type of caries which occurs on smooth surfaces... it include canine as well.
There are instances when you get some irregular surface of canine due to fluorosis or incomplete growth of enamel, (Imprefect Enamel), in those cases, its hard to clean the surfaces of canine.
At times there are caries associated with adjacent teeth with canine, thus results in caries with sides of canines. (Caries in mesial and distal surface of canine)
Hope it helps,

Yes! You can get decay on any of your teeth. Each tooth has 5 sides and they are front, back, top, side towards your cheek, and inside toward your tongue. Decay can be present on any 1 part of your tooth or all areas of your tooth.
