Question: Question about wisdom teeth extraction and root canal? PLEASE HELP!!!?
I have to ge a root canal on my top left molar. I also really need to get all of my wisdom teeth removed. I would rather get my wisdom teeth removed first because they're very irritating and painful. But I was just wondering if I would have to get the root canal first?

Answers:

It would be advisable to get your RCT done first as if you get all 4 wisdom teeth out and then need a RCT done quickly there is NO way you would be able to keep your mouth open as you would be quite sore and uncomfortable. Get your RCT done first and then when it is finished get your wisdom teeth out.

Considering the fact that a root canal treatment is treating a tooth to SAVE it from being pulled, I imagine that it makes sense that the root canal should be completed first.

Good luck to you!
