How do i get braceS for teeth ?!

Question: How do i get braceS for teeth ?
I have been referred to the orthodontist but only because my dentist is nice and i have talked to him about the issues i have with my teeth , im only 13 , but anyways i really want perfect teeth and im not bothered about the pain of having them on i have a slight over bite and a few out of line teeth , how much would it be if i payed privately and how long would it take to get them fitted?

From what I know, to get braces fitted privately - it would cost around £3,000 + £250 for the retainers afterwards. If you are from the UK: the NHS will only issue braces if there is a medical reason, for example I play rugby and I had an over bite of my top jaw, and my dentist said if I were to have an accident in rugby I have an increased risk of a broken jaw and damaged teeth. But now I thank their work as my teeth are perfect and straight, the NHS will not cover orthodentics for cosmetic reasons, but it's worth haggling a bit. And usually it taks a day to get them fitted, and you wear them for around 1 - 3 years, I had mine on for 3, because I had quite a few problems to address, hope this helps! :)

You would be looking at about £2,000-£3,000 privately..
But if your bite is over slightley..this would be a good reason to get NHS and so will 4 out of line teeth..I only had one and got my teeth fixed for NHS,
And i completely underdstand wanting Perfect teeth...ITS so worth it! Best thing I ever did, And just make sure as you are only 13 that all your baby teeth fall out before you get them fitted, And if your not happy with your othrodontist change.before you get braces on
Hope this helps x
