You never want to take good healthy teeth out in order to wear a full denture! Keep the good teeth that you have as long as you can.

A full denture never is the same as having your original teeth, and even a partial denture will feel more normal and stay in place much better than a full denture.
It probably will take some time but she should get used to talking with a denture in her mouth. It's just a natural adjustment period that one goes through.

The next time she is at the dentist have her ask about getting a Valplast- it's a more flexible and less conspicuous type of partial denture that may be worth spending a little more for.

I have just gotten full dentures and please try anything before resorting to them. The upper denture is a bit easier than the lower but it is much worse than I imagined it would be. They do move (again the lower one), food gets trapped underneath while you are eating and it is painful. It is difficult to speak without lisping (I am told this gets better). My mouth and jaw get tired and I cannot wait to pull them out at night but keep them in as long as possible so that I don't scare my family. I am not obsessive about my looks but this has really reduced my self-image. Save whatever teeth you can. You have more options with them than without them. Best of luck.

I have been working in the dental field for 10 years get a partial TRUST me complete dentures are HORRIBLE. they flop and the partial wont it will hook onto the other teeth
