How long until I can eat?!
Question: How long until I can eat?
I can't bite down all the way with the cement, and it is driving me crazy because I can't eat correctly because I can't chew at all. I just tried eating an omelet, and even that was too hard, lol. So now I am having soup.
She said the cement will eventually go away on its own, but does anyone know how long that takes for it to go away? Will I have to renew the cement each time I visit the orthodontist?
Also, she said I shouldn't drink soda, eat things like chocolate and pop corn. Does that last for the whole duration of the braces?

I got braces last wednesday and all i have been eatting is apple sauce and pudding, getting smoothies, eatting french fries cut into little pieces....baked potatos are really good to eat its soft...you can have soda just not alot of soda.....drink it with a straw and dont let it touch your teeth
OKay, in 3 days, u will get used to the feel, after the, "used feeling" u will get cuts all throughout ur mouth, (do not put wax in every day, becasue then it will not get thicker). eventually after 2 weeks cuts will heal ur mouthwill thiken up in certian areas, then you will be fine. do not worry about anything. after a monthor wo, you will now the limits of your braces. Get a WATERPIK from target for like 20 bucks. i have already of gotten 2. (one broke accidently). dont worry bout them too much, if u get a waterpik it removes 99% of everything, including stuck gum. :) dont be afraid to smile.
