Can I still save my tooth?!

Question: Can I still save my tooth?
A front tooth right next to my front two had a root canal. I didn't get it crowned at the time because I'm a grinder so all my teeth are worn down and would need crowning. I couldn't afford it. Well, The filling fell out and most of the back of the tooth broke off very near the gum line. Can I still fill and crown it or will I lose it?

Answers:

You "Might" be able to still crown it. Only your dentist will be able to tell you for sure.

When you have a root canal the blood supply to the root is destroyed with the root nerve. The tooth gets brittle and usually will break because of the brittleness. A tooth that has had a root canal should always get a crown.
