I've tried that baking soda technique, too. It doesn't work well.

I usually visit my dentist to cleanup and whiten my teeth. But it's a hassle and takes time and sometimes it's hard to get a schedule for teeth cleaning.

My dentist recommends some sort of teeth whitening and it's quite effective, in terms of whitening and can do it at home every morning. That's her assignment for me :)... just a like when I was in grade school when my teacher gave me homework.

When you are doing your teeth whitening goal, refrain from eating and drinking those foods and drinks that can greatly contribute teeth discoloration, such as coffee. I still do drink coffee, it's one of my favorite, but I'm doing it moderation. Good that I do not smoke, that's one cause of teeth discoloration.

Avoid any of the toothpastes that promise to whiten your teeth. They are simply filled with gritty material to help scrape off anything on your tooth. It's like filling your toothpaste with sand.

The only real teeth whitener that works is bleaching them. This is the most effective method, and easily done, but does cause some sensitivity in the teeth.
