Holy moly. I got mine off TODAY at 9:30. It feels CRAZY after you get them off. It is enjoyable. :)
But noo. It doesn't hurt. Mine didn't at least. They just use a small drill - no, not as scary as you are thinking. But I had to get impressions.. :P GAG. That was gross. But other than that, you will be smilin' away ALL DAY. :D
I am now. :)

3 years of braces - and got them off today :)

It depends on your dentist. My dentist used a specific tool that got them off quickly and easily, and most of the glue too. By the time they were working on the bottom row, I realized they already did the top row. A very weird feeling not having them anymore, lol
However, there are some horror stories about ripping them off. I'm certain your dentist won't just yank 'em out, that could yank out teeth as well. He'll likely have some tool to get them off.
It might not hurt that day, but you could be sore that day after.

Experience.

Your teeth will feel slimy. It will hurt when you eat something because there will be no pressure on them anymore.

mmmm no , 75 percent of americans went through it, you can too(:

Dont worry ...it wont hurt much.....but one thing for sure you will be more prettier after removed your braces .....enjoy.....have a toothy smile .....cheers

Hurts like hell, I hated it
