how short can i file my teeths?!

Question: How short can i file my teeths?
i want to file my teeth short as possible.
you know how rodents get long teeth, mine are kinda like that, they just grew in really long. I've been too the dentist and they are too hesitant to do any more filing. they don't seem to care if i suffer for it. and it feels like they are lying they can do more they just aren't. i'm offended.
i may be doin it myself. so give all the advice you have.

you can file them down to the gumline if you want to. it might hurt a little to eat after you grind through the pulp of your tooth, but after a month or so, you should be alright. I suggest using a nail file, as it isnt TOO abrasive ;)

I strongly recommend you don't do it yourself, you could take it too far and expose your tooth and be in pain and sensitivity, also there's the risk of you filing it so bad you leave yourself with uneven sharp areas that will have your tongue in shreds, and a risk of filing to the point where you could crack your teeth too!

Is it worth it?

Best way to get around the dentist attitude thing(same with doctors) is to play the I'm so depressed" game and if you can a few tears they will take you more seriously if you say your very self conscious.

But..if the dentist has filed away already so much they don't want to do it, its for a reason- a Professional choice perhaps to what i related to at the top.

Its not that they dont care that you are suffering.
Its a matter of pain in the future for you.
Teeth have nerve endings in them, (kinda like a cats claws), if you fille to much, you risk exposing or removing the buffer zone, which protects you from feeling pain while eating hot and cold foods.

Your teeth are genetic. You'll have to accept as much as the dentist can do for you.

Please DO NOT file your teeth yourself. You will risk a lifetime of sensitivity to wind, cold air, cold food, hot food, inhaling cigarette smoke, eating pie...etc.
ANYTHING you bite into will hurt.

Good luck
