Question: Please help has anyone else experienced this with braces?
My gums are really really sore, i think they are quite red and possibly a bit swollen.
Could it be because i am flossing and brushing too hard?

I have braces also, could it be to do with that?

Sore gums are often a inn of inflammation. You seem to describe gingivitis. Your braces are definitely a contributory factor to plaque accumulation and you need impeccable oral hygiene to keep safe.

best bet-- see your dentist without delay.He might carry out professional scaling and polishing but the best bet is for you to maintain a clean mouth as no amount of professional cleaning would or can compensate for proper home care.

Plus-- your dentist can rule out you have nothing more sinister!!!
