It kind of sounds like a dry socket but you wouldnt be able to talk because of the sharp pains. if this is indeed a dry socket you need to go get it packed asap with gauze. it hurts like hell, but it will help. they will give you pain medicine to help with it as well. be careful though. if you wait too long, your pain will start going down your neck and back and you will have to be on bed rest. not kidding. my sister had this after mular extractions and she was in bed rest for over a month because of what it did to her back and neck after waiting too long. if you get up and around before they say it's okay, you could get lifelong effects on your back and neck. good luck sweetie. Get to a dentist ASAP!!

Hi there , if you have a bad taste then it is a dry socket. Pain after 4-5 days is usually a dry socket and this is easily treated.
