Question: I got my #8 tooth(front right) removed. Now im afraid to close my mouth?
I just got my tooth pulled like...4 hours ago. The bleeding finally stopped but is still "seeping". Im afraid to close my mouth because of the possible suction. Am i crazy? i don't want a dry socket.

You are definitely not crazy but just a little scared!!!!

The factors that predispose to dry socket are the following;
-not following post extraction instructions
-being female
-oral contraceptives
-excessive force
-dislodging the clot from foreign body interference
-previous episode of dry socket
-smoking
-excessive use of local anesthetics
-excessive fibrinolylic activity

Some are out of control.......

So Relax, it's not that bad.

Cheers!!!!
