Question: Do you think I'll have to get a root canal?
So I'm going to the dentist for the first time in a longgg time and I have a huge cavity on my bottom right 6 year molar. It has been there for a long time [I know I should've gotten it taken care of before but I was lazy and scared xD] And it's really deep; almost half-way through my tooth. It's to the point where I am in agonizing pain from it if I'm not taking a pain medicine. I don't think I have an infection under the tooth but the cavity is so big I don't think they can just give me a filling. What do you think? Root canal or no? [I'm 13 by the way]

Depending on how far the decay has gone into your tooth will determine if you need a root canal. You may have an infection in the nerve of the tooth. They will probably take an xray of it to see how it looks.
If you do need a root canal, dont worry. It isnt as bad as it sounds and your tooth will feel a lot better!
