dentist? Oh and the pain starts out like a minor annoyance, starts throbbing and I'm crying, and then it just disappears, but lurking there until it disappears again and starts hurting again. That is normal right?

You need oil of cloves.

soak a small piece of cotton wall in it, then pack the tooth with it.

.

Hummmm - it goes away and then comes back? That's sort of odd.

You can probably imagine this is a diseased tooth - but it might not be. It might be a plaque buildup around the tooth - and the dentist can just scape it off. Let's hope that's the case.

The only real way of killing the pain is to freeze it - a glass of water with ice - and suck in the ice and let it lay against the tooth as much as you can. As the feeling reduces you can do it more and more.

Pain is heat.... so get ice and suck the heat out of the whole area.

The only thing that ever helped me was ice water. It hurts a little at first but then numbs the nerve, but you will have to drink more within a short time. Not so much drink it but hold it in your mouth in the sore area until the pain subsides.

Orajel and other products did me no good, so I would recommened skipping those. Good luck! I hope you feel better very soon.

try anbesol , numbs it in seconds ,use sensidyne tooth paste until you can go to the dentist

Some clover.

What about whiskey? They use to give it to babies when they were teething.
