Can you chew gum with rubber bands on your braces?!


Question: Can you chew gum with rubber bands on your braces?
i have the little tiny rubber bands the Connect form one tooth to another in and i was wondering if you can chew gum with them.

It's possible...but you have a 84% chance of choking on the gum.



You are not supposed to chew gum at all with braces on.
It pulls and loosens them over time. That means more cost for you or your parents and longer in braces.
Teeth cannot move if the braces are not tight on your teeth.

Stay away from gum and hard or sticky things

i did when i had braces and i had no problem. but you do run the risk of maybe popping the bands. oh, and your orthodontist probably wouldnt be happy to hear that you chew gum (if you decide to) because it gets in your braces and its hard to clean. but do what you want.

Its physically possible but its probably not wise to chew gum with braces on, because it can stick to the braces and damage the braces.



If your used to the rubberbands yah but when I used to they always ended up snapping

Had braces it sucked lol



you can but my dentist told me to stay away from chewy gums while on treatment
