Question: Wisdom teeth pulled out 2day?
i got my wisdom teeth out today and my bottom lip has been numb all day. im getting nervous if it stayes like that?

Wisdom tooth extraction is a longer procedure, hence some dentist prefer a long acting anaesthesia like bupivacaine. The effects of the regular anaesthesis, lignocaine lasts about 2 hours. However bupivacaine lasts considerably longer than that. Once the effects of anaesthesia wears out your lip sensations will be back to normal. Call up your dentist and enquire about it.

it is due to local anesthesia infirior alveolar or lingual block

Dot get nervous it will come normal within 24 hr.

A temporary numbness is common when wisdom teeth are taken out as they use more local anesthetic to numb both dental nerves rather than one. The numbness should change to pins and needles then tingling then normal.
