Bracket from my brace came off tooth?!

Question: Bracket from my brace came off tooth?
I had a brace appointment on monday and after that noticed a tooth that was in line before wasn't anymore. I assumed they were moving it to fit others in or something but i've only just realised the bracket isn't attatched to that tooth anymore just the wire! The tooth is quite a bit out of line now and obviously i'm going to ring up tomorrow and make an appointment to get it glued back on, but i'm worried it'll mean my treatment time will take a lot longer! Has this happened to anyone else before and did you have to wear braces for longer than you should have? Thank you :)

Answers:

I've had a few brackets fall out before and I got them off in 3 years...but alot of my teeth were coming in which mostly delayed the process. It shouldn't affect your process by much, your orthodontist will get you in sometime during that week and it'll move back into place in another few days. Also, when you get your braces off, they still move, so KEEP YOUR RETAINER ON and listen to your ortho. If you get spring retainers, they will move them back into place again in a few weeks, but it's better not to go through that...trust me.

ORTHO EXPERIENCE: Jaw Expander, 3 years braces, (3 broken brackets), now has retainer.
