Can I get braces then go to school the next day?!

You should get it on Friday because it will hurt. For me, it didn't hurt when i got them. But like in the afternoon it started to hurt. At night, it hurted really bad. You can take pain medication to stop the pain. But it still would hurt a little bit. The pain stoped for me in a week. Hope i helped

You can get them during the week, there is no problem with that. There will be pain, so you'll probably want to take pain killers.
Edit: If you get them and then go to school you might be distracted from the pain, which could be kind of nice.

Braces for five years from age 7-12

All three of my kids have had braces. It will hurt for a few days after you get them on. They each just took Tylenol for the pain and that helped. I would do it the Friday before Spring break. That way by that Monday you should be feeling better and able to completely enjoy your holiday. Have fun!

There's no reason why you can't go to school the next day.

Your mouth will probably be sore which will make chewing difficult...but that's normal and will probably last for a few weeks. In the meantime just take some tylenol for the pain, and eat soft foods.

I'd wait until the friday unless you have no problem swallowing painkillers at school :P It hurts alot the first 3-5 days.

yeah you can. you just cant eat without pain. i suggest you bring soup for lunch

It will hurt either way. I'd rather deal with the pain at school and then have a sort-of pain-free spring break.
