Is Pain and Sensitivity after a Filling normal?!

Question: Is Pain and Sensitivity after a Filling normal?
I had a filling done on my very back molar two weeks ago. I have been experiencing sensitivity to heat and cold ever since, along with a dull ache after chewing food. It is a gray filling and was pretty deep. Is this normal?

Thanks!

yes it can up to a month for the tooth to settle down

Yes. You can take over the counter pain relievers for it. If it doesn't resolve in about a month, you may want to call your dentist. Good luck.

Life ~ oodles of fillings over the years.

no, it is not. pain with cold or warm things can be normal for 1 or 2 weeks but pain when you are chewing food no. maybe root canal trophy is needed.
