What is the cause and how do I treat it?!

Question: What is the cause and how do I treat it?
At the gumline of one of my front teeth, the tooth is a grayish clear discoloration. The area that is discolored is slightly textured and is elevated a bit from the rest of the tooth. What is the cause? How do I treat it?Does anyone know any low cost dentists(holistic if possible)? I'm a starving student :)

A grayish discoloration can mean that the nerve has died. If you have been taking tetracycline, that can cause a gray color on the teeth but it would usually be on more than one tooth. The natural baseline color of many people's teeth is more yellow, brown or gray than others simply due to inherited genetic factors. Check here.

Check at your student affairs office. They may have a list of dentists you can call.
