What is the best way to whiten your teeth? nothing helps?!

Question: What is the best way to whiten your teeth? nothing helps?
I brush my teeth 2 sometimes 3 times a day, i use mouth wash, i eat apples, i tried baking soda, i bleached my teeth twice at the dentist and didn't see any change.
The thing is i didn't take care of my teeth from the age of 13 to 16 because of depression, my parents got divorced, i changed schools a lot and the all deal.
But now I'm trying to fix it but without success.

I am surprised that you didnt notice any difference from the bleaching you had at the dentist. Did you speak with them about it? They have the strongest bleaching materials that are safe for you to use.
Did you notice a difference initially when you had it done or no change at all? Tooth bleaching is a temporary thing. Just as your tan fades when summer turns to winter, your teeth will pick up stain from the foods you eat.
One option you might have that is a little more invasive is veneers. At your next dental visit, speak to the doctor about this option.
I do think you should talk to them about your dissatisfaction with the bleaching you did. They should be able to give you an alternative or maybe even try another in office treatment with another product.

Good luck

I am a dental assistant

My dentist told me not to use baking soda to whiten my teeth because it is too harsh. The natural colour of people's teeth varies from one person to another. Personally I refused to be brainwashed by current trends and advertising into feeling there is something wrong with my teeth because they are not a brilliant unnatural white. In my opinion it is far more important to brush regularly and thoroughly and maintain good oral hygiene than it is to have artificially white teeth.

If your teeth just happen to be unfashionably off white and bleaching doesn't produce the results you need them perhaps dental veneers are your next best option.

The bleach from the dentist must have made a difference. Did you get to see before and after pictures or are you just saying this? The change in colour is so gradual that you won't notice a difference but it should be there. What type of bleach did you get, the home bleach or the instant bleach? If you had the home bleach then it might be better to try the bleach at the dentist where they give you a much stronger bleach with higher peroxide content and the results are instant.

Hopeful dentist :)

The way you speaking looks like really bad stains or really bad worry.

If it's stains, there are definite stages in treatment.
Option 1. Leave alone and accept--no treatment.
Option 2. Scaling and polishing
Option 3. Micro abrasion using an abrasive and a weak acid--MUST be done by a professional!!! Pleaseeee, don't try it at home.
Option4. Bleaching at home
Option 5. Professional bleaching in the clinic
Option 6. Covering agents like porcelain veneer
Option 7: Crowns.

That's it.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!!

You say that between the ages of 13-16 you didn't take care of your teeth. You may have damaged the enammel, which protects the teeth. I recomend that you visit your dentest to check this and for advice on how to whiten.
