they put a bracket on a day, so about 3-4 weeks
lol, NO they don't put a new one on each day!! :D :) I don't know your exact question but.....
If you mean from the VERY beginning, then it usually takes a few months before you get the actual braces.
If you mean how long while they are actually putting them on, then usually a half hour to an hour!

(Oh an btw... Braces can get annoying!! :| lol :)
It all depends. I had to have spacers before the braces because my mouth is supposedly really little. It took about a week or two from when the spacers were put in before the actual braces got put on. I was surprised at the short time it took.
An hour or two. But they spend a lot of time working up to them.
And when you are done you wear a retainer. I think for the rest of your life. Ask your dentist before you pay for braces if you are making a lifetime commitment.

It took about 1 hour for me. Sometimes orthodontists have to do other things cause of complications, and they have to put the brackets on little by little.
