Does re-mineralization of the teeth whiten it again?!

Question: Does re-mineralization of the teeth whiten it again?
I have yellow-ish teeth. Lately, I've noticed that my front tooth's edges have become a bit ragged, not to mention that the tips of my teeth are somewhat clear/transparent now.
I figured that it's because of enamel loss. I'm planning to start cutting back on acidic drinks and drinking alot more milk and water.
My question is, does re-mineralization help whiten it again? I mean, would my plan help whiten my teeth?

If it does it may take months or years. Definately get off the sugar drinks. Talk to your dentist.
