I'm 17, and still have two more 'baby teeth' to lose?!

Question: I'm 17, and still have two more 'baby teeth' to lose?
One of them is loose, but I still have another that has yet to fall out, and it feels pretty sturdy.

I'm a 17 year old male.

Is that normal?

(Teeth are normal, no cavities. Last dentist check-up was one month ago, brush daily)

When I was 15, I had a baby tooth removed because it would not have come out on its own. The dentist seemed to think that this was an issue. If the baby tooth hasn't come out yet, there is probably an adult tooth behind it that can't come out, which could result in decay and infection.

It's not that normal but it's not rare either. I had 3 baby teeth when I was 18. Took a x-ray when I was getting braces and it showed that 2 of them had no adult teeth behind it, while one was still inside. So I had that one baby tooth (with the adult teeth inside) extracted first and waited for around 4 months or so and it never grew out. So i went for an operation to get it removed.

You could probably go for a x-ray to see if there's any adult teeth behind it. I heard from my dentist that for some people, some of their baby teeth never falls out and there's no problem with it.

yes, the mouth continues to loose teeth for as long as it needs to. its dependent on your dna and hereditary factors. You have absolutely nothing to worry about
