You need to see a dentist. To alleviate pain in the meanwhile, use clove oil on the part of the tooth that is hurting. You can also use whiskey. But see a dentist ASAP.

Well there's Ambisol, and it kills any tooth pain, available at most any drugstore.
Try using sensodyne toothpaste, it helps keep the teeth somewhat numbed.

I don't know of any home solutions. However, a find that ambesol and ibueprofen are the best for me when I have pain.
