Wisdom teeth and dissolvable stitches?!

Question: Wisdom teeth and dissolvable stitches?
I had my wisdom teeth (all 4) taken out last thursday 1/13/2011 and I went in for a post extraction check up a few days ago. The dentist said my gums were healing faster than average. No dry socket or infections. I can now chew without biting into my cheeks and am starting to eat soft foods again.

However after my check up I came down with the flu. My main question are the stitches. They taste really nasty and I don't think they're helping my nausea. Some of them are slowly coming out after I rinse my mouth. Is there any risk of them coming out early like this? Dentist said they would come out around today but just worried.

Any other help would be much appreciated.

Answers:

I don't think there is any risk. I have had stitches in my mouth before and (on accident) chewed them out. I think that you are okay but if you start to have bleeding again I would call the dentist.
