Question: To those whgo have played instruments with a palette expander...?
I play flute, alto saxophone, and bassoon and a variety of my high school bands, and I need a palette expander. Before I commit to it, I need to know that an expander when it comes to playing music is only something that I will need to adjust to. I'm thinking it will be more than a challenge to play instruments with a piece of metal on the roof of your mouth. Help please!

I did! I mean, it was in elementary school, but I still remember it.
I played flute, and, like you were saying, it's just something you need to adjust to. It's kind of difficult in the beginning because you have to hold your tongue differently, but you also have to adapt to the normal things like eating and such. It's really not that big of a deal.
