WISDOM TEETH! Can they grow in a different times!?!

Question: WISDOM TEETH! Can they grow in a different times!?
For about 3 months I was having horrible head aches everyday and no matter what I did they wouldn't go away. I could tell it was from something in my jaw/mouth. I went to the dentist and found out I was getting my 2 bottom wisdom teeth. I went and had them removed on November 2nd.

Now I've been getting head aches again. I've had a head ache for four straight days and not even pain meds will make it go away. I feel like it is in my jaw but on the top on both sides. It's the worst pain of my life and makes it hard to get anything done. I tried drinking water, taking naps, staying active, and even massaged my jaw but it still hurts.

Whenever I got my 2 bottom wisdom teeth removed my dentist told me I wouldn't get my top 2 wisdom teeth because they come in at the same time

My question is Do all four really come in at the same? Or was my dentist wrong and they can come in at a different time? If it's not my top wisdom teeth coming in then what could it be?

Please help me! I'm in soooooo much pain!

Answers:

My wisdom teeth came in at different times. Bottoms first. Did he take xrays of the top area to confirm they weren't there? It has only been a couple of months so this is considered around the same time. However if not your wisdom teeth maybe it is TMJ. Temporal mandibular joint. Does your jaw hurt when you open your mouth? Or do you have a creaking or popping noise? If you do you should have it checked out. I hope this helps.

I am a dental assistant and mom of 2

No, all four do not necessarily come in at the same time. They can erupt (come through the bone and gums) at different times, or some may erupt and others may remain impacted for the rest of your life. I cannot believe that a dentist would tell you that they all come in at the same time; possibly there was a misunderstanding?

If your dentist told you that, then he is full of it. My wisdom teeth came in during my 9th grade year and they came in one at a time. However, I didn't have any real pain from them coming in.

EDIT: I was 14 right before my first one started coming in. Around 9 months later the last one finished coming in.

wow ur 14 and have wisdom teeth?im 19 just getting mines.my first one is not out fully. ! believe they come at different times because I only have one so far , and the next one is just starting to show.
