It is normal for kids to grind their teeth. You can't place anything in their mouth to stop them from grinding because they can choke. You could give your baby a pacifier, to be used under adult supervision. You can also tell your son to stop doing that. :) Eventually he will understand.
My daughter was grinding her teeth, she does it much less now.
He could be teething so a cold teether will help too.
Does he grind his teeth in his sleep if so talk to the pediatrician. If it is during the day and you react to it maybe he is doing it to get attention. Try to distract him by doing something else with him and stress that grinding his teeth is BAD! Maybe if you can distract him enough he will forget the new thing (grinding the teeth) and move onto something else. Or if that doesn't work don't acknowledge it and he will lose interest. Toddlers are hard to train! try one for a while and if that doesn't work try the other. Good Luck!
I am a mom of 2 grown kids
I know grinding is really bad for the teeth especially when sleeping.
You should just take him to a doctor or something. I don't know if they'll
give him like a mouth guard or something else.
