Can i eat a caramel apple with braces?!

Question: Can i eat a caramel apple with braces?
If i cut it into slices and dip it in the caramel and brush well after?
I'm usually really careful when i eat regular apples anyway.

Answers:

i always ate apples/ caramel apples with braces and i was just fine, nothing ever happened. i never cut them up either, i ate it like a normal apple.

If you can resist the urge I suppose it's best not to. However if you just gotta have caramel apples I suggest you sip some warm tea (not the sweetened kind) or something afterwards and maybe kinda swish around the braces area so that any sugar residue will dissolve off. Or just rinse with warm water if you don't like tea. This is a good practice after any meal.

I think back in the days the Chinese people did this for multiple benefits; remove or dislodge any food particle that were stuck in their mouth somewhere, as a relaxing drink, a digestive aid /anti-acid since tea is alkaline, and of course the caffeine gave them some perk.

If the caramel doesn't harden then yes, just be extra careful like you usually do... But if it's hard, best not to, it can move your brackets or even break them. And most orthodontists charge you for replacing your brackets if you break them..

you can eat anything with braces no prob.

I ate everything that you allegedly cant eat with braces. nothing happened...

nooooooooooooooooooooooo. i dont have braces and it gets stuck to the roof of your mouth and its really hard to get off.

Well my friend has braces and she cant eat caramel so I would say no.

If its soft caramel yes.

Yes as long as it's cut and not very hard so you want break an bracket
