Your doctor should be more educated. Mouth wash with alcohol is the worse thing you can use for bad breath. With your dry tongue and breath smelling bad you have what's called " dry mouth " .
For 5 years y husband's breath could stop a horse. His fellow workers even gave him breath mints cause they couldn't stand it. He always used mouthwash and couldn't understand it. A dentist finally tole him to get " Therabreath ". I swear to you, his breath no longer stinks. Its sold in drug stores and comes in a green bottle.

What worked for me, although I will say it's not just do this and "bam your breath is cured" as they make you change your entire mouth cleaning habits. So you end up doing it all their way. But in the end it becomes a daily habit. It covers Post Nasal Drip and Tonsil Stones as well thankfully. When you have bad breath it messes up your whole life. And I suppose the best thing is they don't make you go out buying "special" products for the rest of your life. So try Oraltech Labs. Just don't get it and then think you'll do what it says “now and then” because it's either all or nothing, and trust me getting rid of my room clearing faecal breath meant I was all in. Alex’s, J. Bad breath is not quite curable, hence your doctor's lack of medical inputs to you. It can be caused by dry mouth effects, gum infections, and other parts of your systems that affect general health. Use a tooth paste that provides chlorine based attack. It might just help.

Reading up on health care of all sorts when you are old.

You could have tonsil stones and or thrush. you don't have to have tonsils to have tonsil stones they grow on the tongue and on the sides of your throat and you can''t necessarily see them all. you should try brushing, flossing then rinsing with warn salt water, repeat. do this everyday for 1 week and see if it works. I would ask your doctor id he will order you a mouth medicine for thrush IF the saltwater doesn't work first. best of luck*_*

I dont know why but i know there's a product called the orabrush that eliminates bad breath

it's called halitosis. So looking up what causes it might help.

I noticed that once I get my cavities filled, my halitosis subsided. Maybe you have some cavities you weren't aware of?

if you have braces, live with it until they come out. You chould cut down on eating smelly food, and drink A LOT after you eat, this really helps me. www.amishrakefight.org/gfy
