6 months should be the minimum time in braces, even to correct a slight misalignment. The be sure to wear your retainer. The bone around that tooth needs to have time to fill in to the new space in order to hold the tooth position.

Urg, I know exactly what you mean! Ive had mine on since April for one little tooth! My teeth are perfectly fine now! The dentist said your teeth have a memory, if you take the braces off to soon, they'll move back to it's original spot. So the braces have to stay on for awhile After the tooth is in its correct position! Hang in their brace buddie! I know I am! :)

after you get your braces off you might be like me and have a retainer glued to the back of your teeth at the front to stop them from moving you can have them in for life but they're not noticeable so i wouldnt bother about that.
