A question about flossing?!

Question: A question about flossing?
I can only floss the front of my teeth, but I can't reach the back, so is this okay ? I mean, I'm pretty sure no one else can.

Answers:

At first I had the same problem as you. But it's not okay to ignore the back places. Since you chew food with the side and back teeth, food can get lodged in there and cause cavities if not cleaned.

Wrap dental floss around your fingers as if you would regularly, but angle your hands and you're going to have to push your cheek back to reach there. But once you do, you'll find a lot of food in there you never realized.

If using regular floss is still difficult for you, try using a hand-floss product. They look like a toothbrush but have a flossing bit at the end so it's easier to reach the hard places.

Wrap the floss a few times around your 2 index fingers* (near the tip) then you can reach in further. They also sell the little things that have floss molded into a little handle, but I don't think they work as well.

* Some people do it other ways, whatever works for you.

Most good chemists stock them, I can reach my back teeth with them without much problem :)
