How long does it take for the numbness to ware off after the dentist?!

Question: How long does it take for the numbness to ware off after the dentist?
I just got a cavity filled, and i havent eaten ALL day, and i want to know when the numbing on my lip will wear off so i can eat

Answers:

The numbness should start to wear off after 3 to 4 hours, and it should be gone by tomorrow. Call your dentist back if that doesn't happen.

Meanwhile, however, if is fine to eat. Just avoid anything chewy or crunchy. No thick steaks, no pretzels and no caramel. Other than that, try to eat on the side away from the filling. But you certainly do not have to wait until all the numbness is gone. Good luck!!

It usually wears off in a few hours. You'll started feeling a tingling sensation or itching around the area.Thats the first warning the numbing is wearing off.

personal experience

The numbness should be gone in 2 to 3 hours.

3 hours tops. but it's okay to still eat and everything just be careful.
