Does dental headgear work?!


Question: Does dental headgear work?
I have an underbite, and I can either have LOWER JAW SET BACK SURGERY, or HEAD GEAR.
So how does HEADGEAR work? WOULD HEADGEAR MAKE MY LOWER JAW BIGGER?

I don't think the headgear is for your lower jaw, I would think it's for your upper jaw to push it forward to get rid of your under bite. Headgear can't be placed on the lower jaw because you're moving it when you talk and open you mouth.
