Question: How much longer do you think i will have braces?
i got my braces put on about 1 year and 9 months ago. i had 4 teeth removed and so i had braces for space closure. they have closed up significantly with about a fingernails width space. also there is a small gap about the same size between my two front teeth. I was told I would have them on for 6 more months tops. I also got rubber bands for a slight overbite today, but I am going to wear them 24 /7 ( except for eating and brushing my teeth of course!) I heard that wearing the rubber bands all the time can drastically reduce the time you have braces on for. does this seem like a possibility that i may get them off in maybe 3 months or 5? Also, was any one ever in a similar situation? thanks! :)

They always tell you it'll be 1-1.5 years and it always ends up being 2 - 2.5 years + 6mths of a plate when you sleep.
yes wear your rubberbands ALL THE TIME. it speeds things up.
also, tell your ortho about your gap and he can put some string between the brackets to pull the teeth together faster (they did that to mine, worked in a few days).
