Question: How do you cope with the retainer gagging ?
But not one mentioned gagging....
I think i have a sensitive throat...help
i allow a gulp of air but when i speak i feel i am going to throw up !

Tell this to your orthodontist. They can take some of the material off of the back of it to help ease that gag reflex action. They just use a drill tool to sort of file some of it away until it is more comfortable for you.
You shouldn't be gagging at all... retainers don't generally go all the way back to your throat. If you're having comfort problems with yours, you should talk to your orthodontist, because it may not have been fitted correctly at the back. They can remove some of the material from the plate to make it fit better.
its gonna b natural. i have been wearing mine since i was 16 i am now 23. itll stop after a little while just give it time.just dont stop wearing it i did for a little bit now my teeth hurt its very regrettable. so keep wearing it and the gagging will stop
