They will take out one of your back teeth.
This is your second molar as your wisdom tooth is your third molar and will erupt between the age of 18-23. The dentist will rub some topical gel on your gums to freeze them then he will numb you up first usually 2 injections, one at the very back and one beside the tooth. He may top them up but you will not feel a thing. Top teeth come out easier than bottom teeth - He will use an elevator instrument to move the tooth from side to side, all you will feel is pressure and not pain, then he will grip the tooth with forceps and pull it out. If you are very nervous abut treatment you can ask for some sedation and this relaxes you and makes you forget what they have done.
I am a sedation dental nurse in Oral Surgery NHS UK
Extractions aren't that bad but make SURE they give you a partial and make SURE you wear it every day, because when they take a tooth out the other teeth will move over and try to fill in the space, which will misalign your teeth, mess up your bite and give you jaw problems if you don't keep the partial in there to hold the space open. If you have the opportunity to later on, I would suggest replacing it with an implant.
You'll be fine, the dentist will first numb your gum then give a small injection leaving this to take effect for a time then taking the tooth out in most cases once the tooth is removed a small blood blister will appear where the tooth was this then heals, you shouldn't feel any pain when its taken out you might be able to hear it brake or pop it will take about twenty minutes in total
